Sharing a post on her social media account, Akşener shared a message regarding the anniversary of Alparslan Türkeş's death.
In her post, Akşener used the following expressions:
"With his courage that overcame the dark veils of fog they wanted to pull in front of him with his upright stance, his will that never gave up working for his country and nation, his life dedicated to the cause of Turkish nationalism, and the unique sacrifices he displayed for this cause, he will always remain in our memories and our hearts... I commemorate the great statesman, Başbuğ Alparslan Türkeş, with love, respect, and mercy on the 28th anniversary of his passing."
