Prayers held in 90,000 mosques across the country for drought, disasters, and martyrs

Turkey has lost its forests in recent weeks due to fires that started one after another.

While debates continue regarding the inadequacy of the response to the fires and the equipment, many people who participated in the extinguishing efforts have lost their lives.

President of Religious Affairs Ali Erbaş announced that prayers would be held today in 90,000 mosques "to be protected from fires."

"TO BE PROTECTED FROM FIRES, TO BE SAVED FROM DROUGHT..."

Erbaş used the following expressions in his statement on his social media account:

"This evening, before the evening call to prayer, prayers will rise from the minarets of our 90,000 mosques. Let us all say amen together in our mosques and on the balconies of our homes to the prayers that will be made for protection from fires, to be saved from drought, for the preservation of our state and nation from all kinds of disasters and calamities, and for our martyrs. May God accept them."

With the arrival of the time for the evening call to prayer, prayers were held in 90,000 mosques across Turkey for protection against fires and disasters.
