Pre-exam requirement introduced for judge and prosecutor assistant positions!

The Regulation on the Entrance Exam for Legal Professions and the Administrative Judiciary Pre-Exam, prepared by the Ministry of Justice, has been published in the Official Gazette.

The regulation, which consists of 4 sections and 12 articles, establishes the procedures and principles regarding how the exams will be conducted, as well as other matters related to these exams.

REQUIREMENT TO PASS THE EXAM

Accordingly, for law school graduates, passing the Entrance Exam for Legal Professions will be a prerequisite for taking the judge and prosecutor assistant exam and for beginning legal internships and notary internships.

For those who have completed at least 4 years of higher education in political science, administrative sciences, economics, and finance—fields that sufficiently include legal knowledge in their programs—or who have graduated from foreign educational institutions recognized as equivalent, a requirement to pass the Administrative Judiciary Pre-Exam has been introduced to take the administrative judiciary judge assistant exam.

The Entrance Exam for Legal Professions will be held twice a year in April and September, while the Administrative Judiciary Pre-Exam will be held once a year in September.

These exams will apply to those who enrolled in relevant higher education institutions after October 24, 2019, and graduated after March 31, 2024.

MINIMUM SCORE OF 70 REQUIRED

Those who have graduated from the mentioned departments as of the exam date will be able to apply for these exams. The exams, to be conducted by ÖSYM, will consist of at least 100 multiple-choice questions. Those who score at least 70 points out of 100 will be considered successful.
