Preliminary autopsy report completed for mother and children who died from suspected food poisoning: Father intubated

Following the examination at the Council of Forensic Medicine, the preliminary autopsy report for the bodies has been completed.

The report stated that for Kadir Muhammet Böcek and Masal Böcek, no external traumatic lesions that would cause death were observed during external examinations, and no significant pathological findings were encountered other than hyperemia (a condition where blood vessels expand, causing more blood than normal to flow to the area) in the stomach mucosa.

NO PATHOLOGICAL FINDINGS

Regarding the mother, Çiğdem Böcek, it was stated that no external traumatic lesions were observed during the external examination, and no significant pathological findings were seen other than widespread submucosal hemorrhages in the stomach, localized pinpoint ulcerated areas, and normal chyme and fecal content in the intestines.

It was learned that during the procedures, certain samples were taken from the bodies for laboratory analysis. It was noted that stomach and intestinal contents were sampled to be sent to the General Directorate of Public Health laboratories via cold chain. It was stated that the causes of death would be determined following the analysis of these samples.
