President and AKP Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan condemned the attack on Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico and wished him a speedy recovery.
In a statement on his social media account, President Erdoğan said the following:
"I strongly condemn the heinous assassination attempt against Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico and wish Mr. Fico, who was wounded in the attack, a speedy recovery. I convey my best wishes to the people and government of Slovakia on behalf of myself and my nation."
