President Erdoğan departs from Italy
AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has departed from Italy, where he had arrived to attend the G7 Leaders' Summit.
Erdoğan's contacts in Italy have concluded. Erdoğan, who had arrived in the Puglia region to attend the G7 Leaders' Summit, has departed for Turkey.
AKP Chairman and President Erdoğan was seen off from Brindisi Airport by Minister of Foreign Affairs Hakan Fidan, Turkey's Ambassador to Rome Ömer Gücük, Turkey's Ambassador to the Vatican Ufuk Ulutaş, as well as officials from the Rome and Vatican embassies.
In addition to Erdoğan and his wife Emine Erdoğan, the presidential plane was also accompanied by Ambassador Akif Çağatay Kılıç, Chief Advisor to the President on Foreign Policy and Security, and Çağatay Özdemir, Deputy Head of the Presidency's Directorate of Communications.
