President Erdoğan holds meeting with UN Secretary-General Guterres
AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan held a phone call with United Nations (UN) Secretary-General Antonio Guterres.
In a post shared on the Communications Directorate's social media account, it was stated: "Our President, Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, held a phone call with United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres.
Regional and global developments were discussed during the meeting.
President Erdoğan stated that as Turkey, we are making efforts to establish peace and stability in many geographies, primarily in Iran, Gaza, and the Horn of Africa.
Our President noted that the opportunity for a diplomatic solution to the issues between the US and Iran must be evaluated very well, and that the international community has duties to ensure the process is not sabotaged.
President Erdoğan expressed that the effective continuation of UN missions' activities in Syria is important, and that Turkey will continue to provide the necessary support in this regard."
