President Erdoğan holds phone call with Iraqi Prime Ministerial candidate Al-Zaydi
AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan held a phone call with Iraqi Prime Ministerial candidate Mohammed Ali Al-Zaydi.
A phone call took place between President Erdoğan and Iraqi Prime Ministerial candidate Al-Zaydi.
President Erdoğan congratulated Al-Zaydi on his nomination for Prime Minister and expressed his belief that he would swiftly form an inclusive, balanced, and stable government in Iraq.
President Erdoğan stated that Turkey has given significant momentum to its close cooperation with Iraq on a strategic and institutional basis, that the goal is to further advance this in the new period, and that the brotherhood of the Turkmens with Iraq constitutes an exceptional element.
President Erdoğan also expressed determination to advance relations in many critical areas, primarily the Development Road Project, as well as counter-terrorism, the defense industry, energy, and transportation.
