During the call, President Erdoğan stated that the humanitarian situation in Gaza has reached a critical point and that moving beyond merely speaking out against what is happening is a duty to humanity.
Erdoğan noted that Turkey continues to send humanitarian aid to Gaza and supports the efforts of mediators to achieve a ceasefire in the region, as well as the ceasefire negotiations.
In the meeting, President Erdoğan emphasized the importance of taking steps to compel Israel toward a ceasefire and a two-state solution, while also congratulating British Prime Minister Starmer for his statements regarding the recognition of the State of Palestine.
