Erdoğan held a phone call with British Prime Minister Keir Starmer. The discussion covered bilateral relations between Turkey and the UK, as well as regional and global issues.

During the call, President Erdoğan stated that the humanitarian situation in Gaza has reached a critical point and that moving beyond merely speaking out against what is happening is a duty to humanity.

Erdoğan noted that Turkey continues to send humanitarian aid to Gaza and supports the efforts of mediators to achieve a ceasefire in the region, as well as the ceasefire negotiations.

In the meeting, President Erdoğan emphasized the importance of taking steps to compel Israel toward a ceasefire and a two-state solution, while also congratulating British Prime Minister Starmer for his statements regarding the recognition of the State of Palestine.
