President Erdoğan holds talks with Sanchez
AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan held a phone call with Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez.
During the phone call between AKP Chairman and President Erdoğan and Spanish Prime Minister Sanchez, the two leaders discussed bilateral relations as well as regional and global issues.
President Erdoğan stated that the solidarity displayed by Turkey and Spain in every field, particularly in defense, is welcomed by their peoples and that they aim to further advance these relations. President Erdoğan expressed that acting with the goal of causing total destruction to Iran is not approved of, nor is Iran's attitude toward its brotherly regional countries considered correct, adding that everyone with a conscience should embrace peace and focus on diplomacy.
President Erdoğan also pointed out that if Israel's disregard for the law in Gaza and elsewhere is not prevented, the region will continue to long for peace.
President Erdoğan emphasized that it is crucial for the international community to take more seriously the revitalization of negotiations and peace-oriented contacts to end the Russia-Ukraine war.
