President Erdoğan holds talks with UK Prime Minister Starmer
AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan held a phone call with UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer.
During the meeting, bilateral relations between Turkey and the UK, as well as regional and global issues, were discussed, and the progress made regarding the procurement of Eurofighter jets was evaluated.
It was noted that the developments recorded in this regard would make a positive contribution to the cooperation between Turkey and the UK.
President Erdoğan stated that they hope to reach a conclusion within this year regarding the negotiations for updating the Free Trade Agreement between Turkey and the UK.
During the meeting, President Erdoğan expressed that the humanitarian situation in Gaza is dire, that deaths from starvation cannot be prevented, and that humanitarian aid must be granted access to Gaza as soon as possible.
