President Erdoğan issues circular on strategy document and action plan for Roma citizens

In the circular published in the Official Gazette, Erdoğan pointed out that significant policies have been implemented with the aim of ensuring that Roma citizens benefit from public services in the most effective way, raising their socioeconomic welfare levels, and strengthening their social integration.

Reminding that the Strategy Document for Roma Citizens (2023-2030) and Phase I Action Plan (2023-2025), which were put into effect with Presidential Circular No. 2023/2 under the coordination of the Ministry of Family and Social Services with the contributions of all relevant ministries to guide these policies, have supported Roma citizens in every field, especially in education, health, employment, housing, social services, and social assistance, Erdoğan stated the following: "The implementation of the aforementioned Strategy Document Phase I Action Plan has been successfully completed, and the second phase of the Action Plan has been initiated to ensure the continuation of efforts for our Roma citizens. The 'Strategy Document for Roma Citizens (2023-2030) Phase II Action Plan (2026-2030)' prepared within this framework will be published on the official website of the Ministry of Family and Social Services (www.aile.gov.tr).

I request that the relevant ministries, institutions, and organizations at the central level, and the relevant units under the responsibility of governorships at the local level, provide all kinds of support and assistance needed in the implementation of the Strategy Document and Action Plan, and fulfill their duties and responsibilities with diligence through cooperation and coordination."
