AKP Chairman and President Erdoğan spoke at the holiday greeting program.
Highlights from Erdoğan's statements:
"(Regarding the US-Israel attacks on Iran) Our goal is to end this senseless, unlawful, and extremely wrong war as soon as possible.
We are managing the critical process we are in with a patient, sensible, and cool-headed policy, and a very careful approach against provocations.
We are taking the necessary steps to keep the negative effects of the war on our country's economy and our citizens limited.
SHARP REACTION TO CHP
(To the CHP) You are following what these gentlemen are busy with while missiles are flying.
Neither war is on their agenda, nor do they have any concerns regarding Turkey's security.
Their only concern is to create polemics, to gain political rent by causing fights in courts and staging demonstrations.
Even in such a period, they are far from displaying a national stance.
They are in such a state of mind that, believe me, even if the world were to burn, or even if World War III were to break out, they wouldn't even care."
