President Erdoğan receives Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry

According to a post on the social media account of the Presidency's Directorate of Communications, the meeting addressed bilateral relations between Turkey and Egypt, developments regarding Israel's attacks on Gaza, and global and regional issues.

Stating that as long as Israel's attacks on the Palestinian people continue, there is a risk of tension and conflict spreading throughout the region, Erdoğan expressed that reducing Israel-Iran tensions is important to prevent the entire region from falling into a spiral of conflict, and that it is essential for Islamic countries to work together to achieve this.

Emphasizing that acting with common sense and using strategic wisdom is vital for a lasting solution in the region, President Erdoğan stated that for the Israeli oppression in Gaza to end, it is first necessary to establish an immediate permanent ceasefire and ensure the uninterrupted delivery of humanitarian aid to Gaza.

During the meeting, President Erdoğan was accompanied by Minister of Foreign Affairs Hakan Fidan, Director of the National Intelligence Organization İbrahim Kalın, Presidency's Director of Communications Fahrettin Altun, Chief Advisor to the President on Foreign Policy and Security Ambassador Akif Çağatay Kılıç, and Chief Advisor to the President Sefer Turan.
