President Erdoğan receives Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis
AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has received Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis.
Erdoğan stated that Turkey and Greece can move toward the future with confident steps based on the principle of good neighborliness, noting that strengthening the dialogue between the two countries and acting in accordance with the letter and spirit of the Athens Declaration would benefit both nations.
According to a statement from the Presidency's Directorate of Communications, President Erdoğan received Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis at the United Nations headquarters in New York, where he had traveled for the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly.
During the meeting, bilateral relations between Turkey and Greece, as well as regional and global issues, were discussed.

Erdoğan stated that Israel's attacks in various regions, particularly in Gaza, target innocent civilians as well as regional peace, that there is a risk of the crisis spreading across the region, and that it is important to exert pressure on Israel to ensure the unhindered delivery of humanitarian aid to Gaza.
