President Erdoğan's comments on the agreement: We are pleased with the consensus reached with our contributions

Recep Tayyip Erdoğan made statements following the Cabinet Meeting at the Presidential Complex.

First of all, all our citizens should know this: In this process where we are located and our region is passing through a historical period, our horizon holds only a great Turkey. In our ideal, there is the goal of bringing the Turkish nation together with its dreams. In our target, there is the goal of leaving our nation's mark on this era.

We are walking tirelessly and without rest on this path, where the destination is a strong, prosperous, reputable, and victorious Turkey. I would like to sincerely express this point here: Of course, we encounter difficulties from time to time on this journey. Naturally, we face obstacles and challenges on this journey.

Sometimes we are exposed to operations aimed at blocking our path or slowing our speed, sometimes from within and sometimes from outside. But without paying heed to these, we continue our struggle to serve our country and our nation with determination.

Thanks to the system that solved the problem of stability in governance, all institutions of our state are working in harmony and coordination today, fighting to carry Turkey into the future.

"OUR REGION HAS TAKEN A SIGH OF RELIEF"

Just as in the recent conflicts affecting Iran and the Gulf region, Turkey is managing even the most difficult crises extremely successfully. A very important step was taken last night in the war that began on February 28 with Israel's schemes and provocations. It was announced that a consensus had been reached to end the conflicts between America and Iran. Thus, our region, which has been on edge for months, has taken a sigh of relief.

As you know, as Turkey, we have always maintained a sensible, cool-headed, and diplomacy-prioritizing stance since the first day of the attacks on Iran. We did not fall for provocations.

"THEIR ATTEMPTS FAILED"

We acted in cooperation with our brothers in the Gulf. We were not among those who poured gasoline on the fire of war, but among those who raised the voice of peace. We provided very strong support, along with Qatar and Saudi Arabia, to the efforts carried out under the mediation of our brother country Pakistan. Simultaneously, we did not remain indifferent to the insidious games aimed at further dividing our region and building walls of blood between brotherly peoples.

Every time, we resolutely defended Turkey's rights and laws. As a result, thank God, not a single one of our citizens suffered even a nosebleed in this crisis that brought our geography and the entire world to the brink of an abyss. The plans to set brother against brother did not reach their goal. Attempts to ignite new fires of discord among Turks, Arabs, Kurds, and Persians ended in failure. Of course, we will never forget the terrible destruction experienced in our region, the drama of innocent children massacred at their school desks, and the reckless trampling of international law.

But we believe that this meaningless war, which cost the lives of thousands of civilians, including innocent children, is now closed.
