President Erdoğan speaks at 'Iftar with Ambassadors' program: 'We see that economic difficulties continue'

Erdoğan is making important statements at the "Iftar with Ambassadors" program at the AKP Congress Center.

President Erdoğan's statements:

-While we elevate mutual aid and solidarity throughout Ramadan, we also try to feel the experiences of those in need in our hearts. The climate of Ramadan, with its mercy, abundance, and peace, has enveloped the whole world. The table we gather around is a table of humanity.

-We are going through a period where we need the values represented by Ramadan more than ever. We see that the deeply entrenched economic difficulties are still continuing. We are witnessing everything from the increase in polarization to the rise of racist and right-wing parties.

-The domination of the weak by those who hold power brings serious problems together. The doors where the powerless can seek their rights are closing one by one. An unjust and ruthless international reality is being built. If this is not prevented, there will be military and political explosions. We cannot get anywhere by remaining indifferent to the coming danger.

-In a geography surrounded by crises, we take on critical roles from energy security to the fight against terrorism. We strive to be wherever we are needed in our various institutions. We also try to be by our friends' sides during their difficult days. We are in pursuit of ending grievances. No one is asked for their identity, whether they are a victim or an oppressor. In crisis regions, we do not see colors or origins, but only people who need a helping hand.

-We believe that a possible solution cannot be achieved without Russia or without Ukraine. We have seen that peace and reconciliation can be possible through various initiatives.

-We are among the leading countries providing humanitarian aid to Gaza. We have made efforts for international mechanisms, including the International Court of Justice and the UN Human Rights Council, to function. With the contribution of diplomatic contacts, 9 more countries have recognized Palestine.

"A POISONOUS IVY"

-Israel cannot ensure its own security by producing instability. Israel will not be able to find the peace it seeks without the establishment of an independent Palestinian state within the 1967 borders. We will also be followers of the observance of the historical status of Jerusalem.

-A new era has begun in Syria. Our wish is for a Syria that is a source of trust and stability where different identities live side by side. We are providing them with all kinds of necessary support.

-It is not possible for almost any country in the world to handle such a heavy burden alone. We must all support it. Those who hope for this country's instability by provoking ethnic and religious affiliations in Syria will not reach their goals. We will not give opportunities to those who are waiting in ambush and rubbing their hands. We are aware of who is trying to do what. The fate of those who act as extras in imperialist scenarios is to be crumpled up and thrown aside. As Turkey, we have the capacity to destroy every kind of threat at its source.

-We have intensified our efforts in the South Caucasus. Just as we are advancing the normalization process with Armenia, we want there to be a lasting peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan. We see our membership as an inseparable part of Europe as our strategic priority. It seems impossible for a Europe in which Turkey does not take its rightful place to continue its existence. A European security without Turkey is unthinkable.

-Islamophobia and cultural racism are wrapping around Western countries like a poisonous ivy.
