President Erdoğan speaks in Muğla: A new Constitution is a long-overdue necessity

AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan spoke at the NGO Representatives Meeting in Muğla.

THE ESSENTIAL THING IS TO BE WORTHY OF THE NATION'S PRAYERS

The principle we have adopted as a guide throughout our political life of over 50 years and our 22 years in power is this: Winning elections and coming out first at the ballot box is certainly important, but the essential thing is to win the hearts of the nation and be worthy of the nation's prayers. The way to achieve this is undoubtedly through producing works, services, and projects.

THERE IS NEVER DISCRIMINATION IN OUR PHILOSOPHY

Whether they vote for us or not, we work day and night to serve all of Turkey without separating or marginalizing anyone. There is never discrimination in our political philosophy. We are a massive family of 85 million. Our homeland is one, our flag is one, our National Anthem is one, our pain is one, our joy is one, our past is one, and our future is one.

IS THIS HOW POLITICS IS DONE?

Do they have any proposals on any issue in the country, including the Constitution? No. They are playing at being politicians in an extremely comfortable zone, in a 'let's not spoil our mood' mode. Is this how politics is done? Can this country be served by being a spoilsport, by running away, by hiding, and by making things difficult?

WE HAVE NO DEBATE ON THE FIRST 4 ARTICLES

A new constitution is a long-overdue necessity for Turkey. Turkey must get rid of the burden of a coup constitution. We see that most of the parties in our Parliament are in agreement on the first 4 articles and other articles. Hopefully, we will thus be successful in leaving a freer and stronger Turkey to our children."
