President Erdoğan to visit the TRNC

As part of his visit, Erdoğan will meet with TRNC President Ersin Tatar, and it is expected that "bilateral relations and international developments, primarily the Cyprus cause, will be discussed" during the meetings.

President Erdoğan will also inaugurate the newly completed complex housing the TRNC Presidential Palace, the Assembly of the Republic, the Prime Ministry, and the Millet Garden, and will attend the TEKNOFEST TRNC award ceremony.

CEVDET YILMAZ TO SERVE AS ACTING PRESIDENT

Due to the visit of President and AKP Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan to the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz will serve as acting President.

The decree regarding Vice President Yılmaz's acting presidency has been published in the Official Gazette.

According to the decree, since President Erdoğan will be visiting the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus on May 3, Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz will serve as acting President until his return, in accordance with Article 106 of the Constitution of the Republic of Türkiye.
