President Erdoğan: We will build a terror-free Turkey on a solid foundation

Erdoğan made significant remarks at the "A Poem, A Life: My Dear Istanbul" program.

Highlights from the statements of AKP Chairman and President Erdoğan are as follows:

"Istanbul is a magnificent and immense plane tree that harbors the roots of our thousands-year-old civilization. No matter how much we take pride in Istanbul, it is not enough; we are proud to serve such an ancient city. The value and wealth of nations are measured by the writers and poets they produce.

I hope this important event will be auspicious for our country, our cultural and artistic community, and our world of ideas and literature. Friends visiting the exhibition will be able to hear both the works of the master Necip Fazıl Kısakürek and the memories of Mehmet Kısakürek through artificial intelligence.

HE NEVER GAVE IN TO ANY MADNESS ON THIS PATH

According to him, the first condition of producing a work was to suffer the agony of the idea. The master fought for this until his last breath. With the society he founded, he traveled across Anatolia step by step. He worked his whole life to reconnect our nation with its spiritual roots. Naturally, on this sacred march, he also entered the radar of the monuments of arrogance of the era; his magazines were confiscated. The master never gave in to any madness on this path. I would like to say with great satisfaction that none of the suffering the master endured went in vain; all the saplings he planted have blossomed and, thank God, have begun to bear fruit.

WE WILL LEAVE THIS AS A LEGACY TO OUR YOUTH AND MOVE ON

Necip Fazıl, with a naive language, shouldered the past and called out to the future. Necip Fazıl ensured that a nation, which had been subjected to all kinds of fascism during the single-party period, came to its senses. Even if those who want to sever the Turkish nation from its spiritual roots are uncomfortable, there is a youth today that upholds its national and spiritual values.

We will, God willing, build our greatest work to date, a terror-free Turkey, on a solid foundation in the very near future. Just like our master Necip Fazıl, we will leave this work as a legacy to our youth and move on."
