Principal accused of harassment appointed to girls' imam hatip high school

Religious Culture and Moral Knowledge teacher N.A. was appointed as the principal of Ankara Sincan Süleyman Demirel Anatolian High School four years ago. It has emerged that N.A., who was accused of harassment by four teachers working at the school, has been transferred to Sincan Girls' Anatolian Imam Hatip High School.

It was alleged that the school principal N.A., who was previously an AK Party parliamentary candidate nominee for Sivas, insulted teachers by calling them into his office and harassed some of them.

Four teachers working at the school filed complaints against N.A. with the Ministry of National Education for mobbing and sexual harassment, and also filed a criminal complaint with the Ankara West Chief Public Prosecutor's Office.

'NO ONE CAN DO ANYTHING TO ME'

According to a report by Ferhat Yaşar from Duvar; it is alleged that N.A. stated that he was a fellow townsman of former Minister of National Education İsmet Yılmaz and AK Party Group Chairman Abdullah Güler, and claimed that no one could do anything to him.

Following the complaints, the Ministry of National Education assigned an inspector to conduct an investigation.

The report prepared by the Board of Inspection stated that "it was decided that there was no need for any disciplinary action against N.A."

The prosecutor's office also issued a decision of non-prosecution. In the non-prosecution decision, the act of N.A., who was alleged to have played with his genitals over his trousers while talking to female teachers, was explained as 'itching and a reflex'.

APPOINTED TO GIRLS' IMAM HATIP HIGH SCHOOL

It has emerged that N.A., who left his post at Ankara Sincan Süleyman Demirel Anatolian High School of his own volition following the complaints, has been appointed as the principal of Sincan Girls' Imam Hatip High School. It was learned that N.A. will begin his new position on July 12.
