Scandalous error on pro-government channel: Footage CNN Türk aired as 'Tel Aviv' turns out to be from Kahramanmaraş

As the attacks launched by the US and Israel against Iran continue into their fifth day, a scandalous error occurred on a pro-government channel.

CNN Türk, which is close to the government, featured Beirut, Jerusalem, and Tel Aviv on screen while reporting on the war in the region.

According to the report by Umut Taştan, it was revealed that the footage CNN Türk aired under the headline "Retaliation from Iran to Tel Aviv" was actually filmed in Kahramanmaraş during the February 6 earthquake.

CNN Türk issued an apology regarding this incident. The statement included the following remarks:

During the intense news traffic regarding the war between Iran, Israel, and the US on the CNN TÜRK broadcast, and amidst the chaos of the news channel's control room, an incorrect image was inadvertently aired. As soon as the error was noticed, the footage was removed from the screen. Immediately afterward, an internal investigation was launched regarding our colleagues who projected the footage onto the screen. Following the investigation, a decision will be made as to whether the employment of the relevant colleagues will be terminated. The entire system is being reviewed to ensure that a similar error does not recur.
