Allegations that there were irregularities in Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (İBB) Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu's transfer from Girne American University to Istanbul University had become a topic of public debate.
Yesterday, behind-the-scenes information emerged suggesting that İmamoğlu's diploma would be cancelled. Pro-government columnist Cem Küçük made a striking statement on the subject and provided a date.

Istanbul University took a decision within the framework of what YÖK (Council of Higher Education) wrote and issued a letter stating that irregularities were detected in Ekrem İmamoğlu's transfer."
ABDÜLKADİR SELVİ: "THE CANCELLATION OF THE DIPLOMA IS EXPECTED"
Abdulkadir Selvi had also used the expressions, "It is expected that Istanbul University will act in line with the report from the Faculty of Business Administration stating that the transfer procedures were contrary to regulations and that the diploma issued should therefore be cancelled, and will cancel Ekrem İmamoğlu's diploma."

Pro-government columnist Cem Küçük said, "The decision was going to be issued last night, but it seems it has been left for today or Monday. It looks like İmamoğlu's diploma will be cancelled."
