With only a few days left until the Turkish Grand National Assembly begins its new legislative term, rumors regarding the transfer of members of parliament between political parties have returned to the agenda.
Sinan Burhan, Editor-in-Chief of the Millet News Agency, known for his proximity to the government, claimed on a tv100 broadcast that approximately 12 members of parliament from different parties could join the AKP.
AKP CLAIM FOR 12 MPS
Burhan stated that the transition of these MPs to the AKP is dependent on the approval of AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

While sharing the inside information, Burhan used the following expressions:
“There is a situation where around 12 MPs from different political parties may join the AK Party if our President gives his approval. There is an important point here. Our President does not open the door to everyone and say 'come'. These 12 MPs also have the potential to join if approval is granted.”
GAVE TWO NAMES FROM IZMIR
In the details of his claim, Burhan also made an assessment regarding the Izmir Metropolitan Municipality.
He alleged that in addition to Cemil Tugay, Çiğli Mayor Onur Emrah Yıldız would also join the AKP.
