Pro-government journalist caught by AKP's new radar penalty rebels: 'I don't know what to say'

Minister of Interior Ali Yerlikaya had announced new measures to prevent loss of life in traffic accidents during the Eid al-Adha holiday.

Among the decisions announced by Yerlikaya, the radar application to be implemented every 30 kilometers also caused discomfort within the ruling party front.

AKP member Şamil Tayyar reacted to the application in question, saying, 'The state does not set traps for its citizens.'

While discussions regarding the radar application every 30 kilometers continue, pro-government journalist Taha Hüseyin Karagöz announced that he had been caught by a radar.

Complaining that he was riding his motorcycle at 123 kilometers per hour and that the road where he was fined was an intercity road, Karagöz stated the following in his post on his X account:

"On a divided double intercity road

While not even near any city center (photo below)

I have received a 2 thousand TL radar fine for a speed of 123 kilometers

I don't know what to say"
