Ahbap Association President Haluk Levent was detained as part of an investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, and new allegations regarding the case continue to emerge in the public eye.

In the investigation, it was alleged that there is a connection to an illegal betting network, in addition to claims regarding the use of donations collected during the earthquake period.

It was claimed that the investigation into Haluk Levent, the founder of the Ahbap Association known for its relief efforts, and several other suspects covers both association activities and allegations of illegal betting.

KEY ACCUSATIONS IN THE INVESTIGATION

According to information provided by sources from the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, Haluk Levent was detained on charges of "Laundering assets derived from crime (Money laundering)," "Establishing and managing an organization," and "Violation of the Law on Associations."

Among the allegations reportedly included in the file are assessments that donations made to the Ahbap Association, particularly during the earthquake process, were improperly transferred to personal bank accounts.

STRIKING CLAIM FROM PRO-GOVERNMENT JOURNALIST

Among the allegations regarding the investigation that have reached the public are statements made by Sinan Burhan, a journalist close to the government.

Burhan claimed that there are allegations that Haluk Levent is partners with Veysel Şahin, who is known for illegal betting activities.
