Işık made a statement regarding İlber Ortaylı, saying, "The news that İlber Ortaylı suffered a heart attack is not true. The professor is currently in the hospital due to another condition he has been receiving treatment for for a long time, and he is being monitored under the control of doctors. İlber Ortaylı's daughter, Tuna Ortaylı Kazıcı, also made a statement regarding her father's health status.
