Today is the 102nd anniversary of August 30 Victory Day…
Prof. Dr. İlber Ortaylı summarized the importance of today in one minute.
Prof. Dr. İlber Ortaylı answered the question, “Do you think the importance and spirit of August 30 are sufficiently understood?” on the “Cahille sohbeti kestim” program on the Kafa TV YouTube channel. Prof. Dr. İlber Ortaylı made remarks that served as a lesson to the government.
Prof. Dr. İlber Ortaylı said, “No, previously there was this kind of dry rhetoric. Lately, it is not being given importance. People who study this should know that a society like Turkey cannot function without an army or bureaucracy. We must be committed to those values, not be their captives, but be committed to them.”
