'Project' tension between CHP's Başarır and Gürsel Tekin: Responded with a 'vomiting emoji'

CHP Mersin Deputy Ali Mahir Başarır, who is among the figures referred to disciplinary action with a request for expulsion by the Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu administration, used the term "project" to describe Kılıçdaroğlu.

Following Gürsel Tekin, who was appointed as the CHP İstanbul Provincial Chair by court order, reacting to these remarks, Başarır responded to Tekin on social media with a vomiting emoji.

Following the Ankara Regional Court of Justice's decision on May 21 to overturn the Özgür Özel administration and reinstate the Kılıçdaroğlu boards from before the 38th Ordinary Congress, police teams forcibly removed figures close to the Özel administration from the headquarters on May 24, following an application by Kılıçdaroğlu's lawyer, Celal Çelik. Following this process, the Kılıçdaroğlu administration referred nine deputies to the High Disciplinary Board on June 10 with a request for expulsion.

BAŞARIR'S 'PROJECT' DIG AT KILIÇDAROĞLU

Ali Mahir Başarır, one of the deputies in question, targeted former chairman Kılıçdaroğlu with harsh words while evaluating the ongoing process during his appearance on Onlar TV. In his statement, Başarır said:

"They tell me to show respect. It doesn't matter at all whether I show him respect. Respect cannot be forced. I have no feelings left for him either. I am not insulting him. Unfortunately, Mr. Kemal was a very bad project."

TEKİN REFERENCES BAŞARIR'S OLD MESSAGE

The first reaction to Başarır's statements came from Gürsel Tekin, who was appointed as the CHP İstanbul Provincial Chair by a court ruling. Tekin criticized Başarır by quoting his 2023 social media post, which read, "The 13th President of the Republic of Turkey, Mr. Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu," on his personal account.

In his post, Tekin stated, "Those who call Mr. Kılıçdaroğlu a 'project' today were the most enthusiastic owners, loudest supporters, and most visible partners of that project yesterday!"

RESPONDED WITH A VOMITING EMOJI

Ali Mahir Başarır's reaction to this post by Gürsel Tekin, which reminded him of his past attitudes, was an emoji. Başarır responded to the message in which Tekin targeted him by simply leaving a vomiting emoji.
