Proposal including regulations on residential complex maintenance fees accepted
The proposal, which also includes regulations regarding exorbitant residential complex maintenance fees, has been accepted by the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM) General Assembly.
The legislative proposal introduces an amendment to the provision of the Condominium Law that regulates the duties of property managers.
According to the new regulation, managers will be responsible for collecting advances from flat owners until the operating project is approved, for the general management of the main real estate, including maintenance tasks such as protection, repair, and cleaning, as well as the operation of elevators, heating systems, hot and cold air systems, and insurance, at the time specified in the management plan, or if no such time is specified, within the first month of each calendar year.
