Prosecutor had appealed Feyza Altun's release: Court rejects the appeal!
The appeal filed by the Beykoz Chief Public Prosecutor's Office regarding the release of lawyer Feyza Altun has been rejected by the court.
An investigation had been launched against lawyer Feyza Altun by the Beykoz Chief Public Prosecutor's Office on charges of "inciting the public to hatred and hostility" due to a post she made on X regarding "sharia" the previous day.
Altun, whose home was searched under the supervision of a prosecutor, was referred to the court at the Beykoz Courthouse with a request for her arrest; however, the court released her under judicial control conditions, imposing a travel ban.
The request by the Beykoz Chief Public Prosecutor's Office to appeal the decision was rejected by the court.
Under the judicial control decision, Altun will report to the police station twice a week to sign in.
