Prosecutor requests arrests following Bolu fire tragedy
The prosecutor's office has requested the arrest of 8 individuals, including hotel owner Halit Ergül and his son-in-law Emir Aras.
The 8 individuals detained in connection with the hotel tragedy in Bolu's Kartalkaya district have been referred to the Criminal Court of Peace with a request for their arrest following their statements to the prosecutor.
The individuals detained in relation to the fire at the Grand Kartal Hotel, which resulted in the loss of 78 lives, are being brought to the courthouse following their processing by the gendarmerie.
Nine of the 14 individuals in custody had previously been referred to the courthouse. Most recently, occupational safety expert Ece Kayacan was also brought to the Bolu Courthouse following the completion of her processing.

With Kayacan, the number of suspects brought to the courthouse has risen to 10.
It has been learned that 8 people, including business owner Halit Ergül and his son-in-law Emir Aras, were referred to the duty criminal court of peace with a request for arrest following their statements to the prosecutor.
