Following the fatal stabbing of 14-year-old Mattia Ahmet Minguzzi in Kadıköy, Istanbul, the prosecutor's office has requested the release of two individuals who were arrested for allegedly making social media posts praising the perpetrator and threatening the family.

THREATENED VIA SOCIAL MEDIA

The prosecutor's office has requested the release of two defendants who made posts containing threats and insults against the Minguzzi family on social media.

The indictment prepared by the Bakırköy Chief Public Prosecutor's Office recalled that 14-year-old Mattia Ahmet Minguzzi was stabbed on January 24 and passed away on February 9 after receiving treatment in the hospital. The indictment also noted that Minguzzi's father, Andrea Minguzzi, and mother, Yasemin Akıncılar Minguzzi, are included in the case file as complainants.

For defendant B.A., a prison sentence of 2 to 7 years is sought for the charges of "threatening with more than one person" and "praising a crime and a criminal," while for the other defendant, Ç.D., a prison sentence of 2 years and 3 months to 7 years is requested for the charges of "threatening with more than one person" and "insult."
