Prostitution ring dismantled in İzmir
In an operation conducted in İzmir, a gang that forced 36 women, including minors, into prostitution was dismantled.
An operation was carried out in İzmir against a gang that forced 36 women, including minors, into prostitution. Of the 13 suspects detained during the operation, 10 were arrested.
Following approximately 3 months of technical surveillance and field work, teams from the İzmir Police Department Public Security Branch, Morality Bureau identified the addresses in İzmir of 13 suspects led by B.Ü., who were determined to have forced a total of 36 victims, including minors, into prostitution.
Under the coordination of the İzmir Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, 13 suspects were apprehended and taken into custody during simultaneous operations conducted at the suspects' addresses. During searches of the premises, various digital materials related to the crime, a large amount of cash, and notebooks containing records were seized.
