Protests against trustee appointment continue in Halfeti
Eight more people have been detained while protesting in front of the Halfeti Municipality against the appointment of a trustee. The number of people in police custody has reached 16 as processing continues.
Şanlıurfa's Halfeti district municipality saw 8 more people detained while protesting in front of the municipal building against the appointment of a trustee. The number of detainees has risen to 16.

The 16 individuals in custody are currently being processed at the police department.

WHAT HAPPENED?
Following the appointment of a trustee to the Halfeti district municipality in Şanlıurfa on November 4, a protest was held in front of the municipal building, where police intervened against the protesters with pressurized water and tear gas. Two police officers were injured as a result of stones being thrown.
