Provincial Gendarmerie Commanders changed in many cities: Including Istanbul, Ankara, and Izmir
According to the decision published in the Official Gazette, the Provincial Gendarmerie Commanders of many cities, including Istanbul, Ankara, Izmir, Bursa, Diyarbakır, and Gaziantep, have been changed. Additionally, 7 generals and 18 colonels from the Gendarmerie General Command were promoted to the next rank.
The Gendarmerie Decree, signed by AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, has been published in the Official Gazette.
According to the decision; Istanbul Provincial Gendarmerie Commander Lieutenant General Yusuf Kenan Topcu was appointed to the Van Gendarmerie Public Order Corps Command, Ankara Provincial Gendarmerie Commander Cengiz Yıldız to the Erzurum Provincial Gendarmerie Command, Gaziantep Provincial Gendarmerie Commander Halil Şen to the Izmir Provincial Gendarmerie Command, Izmir Provincial Gendarmerie Commander Metin Düz as Head of Public Order, Bursa Provincial Gendarmerie Commander İdris Tataroğlu to the Istanbul Provincial Gendarmerie Command, and Diyarbakır Provincial Gendarmerie Commander Tarık Hekimoğlu to the Ankara Provincial Gendarmerie Command.
