Provincial Police Chief Aktaş inspects the site of the fire in Gayrettepe
Istanbul Provincial Police Chief Zafer Aktaş conducted an inspection at the nightclub where 29 people lost their lives.
A fire broke out in an area operated as a nightclub on the -1 and -2 floors of a 16-story building in Beşiktaş, which was reportedly undergoing renovations, resulting in the deaths of 29 people.
While an investigation into the incident has been launched, 8 people have been detained.
As the investigation continues, Istanbul Provincial Police Chief Zafer Aktaş arrived at the scene to conduct an inspection.
Aktaş left the scene following his inspection.
