Public austerity measures, massive loss at Zafer Airport: 170 million liras

CHP Zonguldak Deputy Deniz Yavuzyılmaz, who reveals the losses caused by the AKP government through official documents in his social media posts, has continued his disclosures regarding the loss record of Zafer Airport.

Announcing the current loss record at Zafer Airport and the rates for the first 8 months of 2024, Yavuzyılmaz stated the following:

In the first 8 months of 2024;

Guaranteed number of departing passengers:

878,488

Actual number of departing passengers:

22,404

Margin of error:

% 97.45

Guarantee payment to be made by the Treasury to the company: 4,529,658 Euros

At the current exchange rate:

170 Million TL!

50 million Euros

2012-2024 (8 months) guarantee payment made to the company: 70 million 898 thousand Euros

According to DHMİ official statistics, 

At Zafer Airport, in the first 8 months of 2024, for domestic and international flights

Total number of arriving and departing passengers:

44,807

Number of departing passengers:

44,807/2= 22,404 (approximately)

Note: According to the contract, guarantee payments are made based on the number of departing passengers."
