The public austerity measures announced in May by Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz and Minister of Treasury and Finance Mehmet Şimşek have effectively remained a pipe dream.

According to reports by Sözcü, it has emerged that AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan traveled to the UN Climate Change COP29 Summit in Baku with approximately 2,000 people.

DEVA Party Chairman Ali Babacan stated that 1,860 people accompanied Erdoğan. Speaking on a television program he attended, Babacan said, “Waste is not just in the public sector, pay attention. Anyone who finds the opportunity says, ‘I haven’t seen it, let me go too, let me go too!’ It is unbelievable!”

There were also many members of non-governmental organizations. I think among the 1,860 people, the only one who covered her own expenses was our deputy.
