Published in the Official Gazette: Turkish citizenship will now be granted in exchange for land!

"Real estate with floor ownership or floor servitude established, or plots with buildings on them" have been added to the list of real estate eligible for Turkish citizenship. The amendment was published in the Official Gazette.

With this decision, plots in villages located in adjacent areas have also become eligible for citizenship.

The decision, published in the Official Gazette with the signature of AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, included the following statements:

It has been decided to put into effect the attached "Regulation on Amending the Regulation on the Implementation of the Turkish Citizenship Law," in accordance with Article 46 of the Turkish Citizenship Law No. 5901.

REGULATION ON AMENDING THE REGULATION ON THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE TURKISH CITIZENSHIP LAW

ARTICLE 1- The phrase "real estate in the amount of foreign currency" in subparagraph (b) of the second paragraph of Article 20 of the Regulation on the Implementation of the Turkish Citizenship Law, which was put into effect by the Council of Ministers Decision dated 11/2/2010 and numbered 2010/139, has been changed to "real estate with floor ownership or floor servitude established, or plots with buildings on them in the amount of foreign currency."

ARTICLE 2- This Regulation enters into force on the date of its publication.

ARTICLE 3- The President executes the provisions of this Regulation."
