Quota distribution for teacher recruitment announced
The Ministry of National Education has announced the quota distribution for the recruitment of 15 thousand teachers. Within this scope, 4 thousand 378 primary school teachers, 3 thousand 87 special education teachers, 1 thousand 802 religious culture and ethics teachers, 1 thousand 321 preschool teachers, and 757 English teachers will be appointed.
In a statement made by the Ministry of National Education regarding the appointments, it was stated, "The branch and quota distribution for the recruitment of 15 thousand new teachers has been completed.
In this context, the top 5 branches with the highest number of appointments are primary school teaching with 4 thousand 378 quotas, special education teaching with 3 thousand 87 quotas, religious culture and ethics teaching with 1 thousand 802 quotas, preschool teaching with 1 thousand 321 quotas, and English teaching with 757 quotas.
Branch quotas were determined by taking into account the occupancy rates across the country by field.
Applications for the 15 thousand contract-based teacher appointments to be made by the Ministry of National Education in 2025 will be accepted between April 21 and May 5, 2025.
Candidates eligible to take the oral exam will be announced on May 7, 2025, at www.meb.gov.tr."
