Ramadan pita bread prices begin to be announced
The first announcements regarding Ramadan pita bread prices have begun to arrive. While the tariffs to be applied in some provinces are becoming clear, prices vary by city.
Last year, the price of Ramadan pita bread was announced by the President of the Turkish Bakers Federation, Halil İbrahim Balcı, as 20 TL for a 250-gram pita.
The cities where pita bread prices have been finalized are as follows:
According to the official tariff announced by the Tekirdağ Union of Chambers of Tradesmen and Craftsmen in Tekirdağ, the price of a 330-gram Ramadan pita has been set at 30 TL. A larger 550-gram pita will be sold for 50 TL.
In Eskişehir, Ramadan pita bread will be produced at 300 grams. According to the regulation made in the city, the sale price of a Ramadan pita at this weight will be 30 TL.
A 21 LIRA DIFFERENCE FOR SESAME
In Kayseri, Ramadan pita bread prices were approved with a decision taken at the Chamber of Commerce's January Assembly Meeting. Accordingly, plain pita will be offered for sale at 14 TL, sesame pita at 35 TL, and sesame and egg Ramadan pita at 45 TL.
The Ramadan pita bread prices to be applied in Turkey's major cities, Istanbul, Ankara, and İzmir, are expected to be announced in the coming days.
