In a post on its social media account, the Meat and Milk Board stated, "Our institution, which is tasked with market regulation, has taken a series of measures to ensure our consumers have access to affordable red meat ahead of the upcoming month of Ramadan.

In this context, in order to prevent exorbitant price increases, our institution will procure approximately 40,000 head of livestock by the beginning of Ramadan, in addition to the live slaughter animals already available at TİGEM facilities."

Regarding where the public can access the slaughtered meat, the statement said, "The carcass meat obtained after the slaughter of these animals will be delivered at affordable prices to markets that are members of PERDER, Agricultural Credit Cooperative markets, catering companies, and meat industrial producers.

Thus, it is aimed to prevent the unjustified exorbitant price increases that occur before every month of Ramadan," the statement concluded.
