Reaction from People's Alliance partner to HÜDAPAR workshop
BBP leader Mustafa Destici has reacted to the workshop organized by HÜDAPAR, a partner in the People's Alliance.
The debates surrounding the "Humanitarian Solution to the Kurdish Issue" workshop organized by HÜDAPAR, a partner in the People's Alliance known for its proximity to Hezbollah, continue.
Following Mehmet Uçum, chief advisor to AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Mustafa Destici, Chairman of the Great Unity Party (BBP), which is also a partner in the People's Alliance, has also expressed his reaction to the workshop.
During a press conference held at his party's headquarters, Destici stated, "Instead of engaging in ethnic separatism, all political parties in our country must comply with the constitution and laws that determine how they are established and how they operate, just as in all countries governed by a democratic parliamentary system."
Destici also touched upon other current issues during his press conference.
Stating that the new administration in Syria has not yet taken any significant steps regarding the terrorist organization YPG/PKK, Destici said, "As long as this terrorist organization exists there, the new administration can never be a fully capable administration. Under these conditions, Turkey does not, cannot, and should not withdraw its soldiers or its influence from this region."
During the press conference, Destici also spoke about the Family and Youth Fund, known in the public eye as the interest-free marriage loan. Expressing that they support the opportunities provided by the state to young people who are about to get married, Destici said, "Our state has announced various forms of support. But in our opinion, it is still insufficient. The 150 thousand lira repayable support is insufficient. At the very least, there should be a grant equal to this amount. In other words, 150 thousand lira should be given as direct support, and an interest-free loan of between 150 thousand and 300 thousand lira should be provided upon request, to be repaid after 2 or 3 years. These supports should be increased to encourage our youth to marry."
