Reactions follow news of martyrs

Following an attack by a terrorist organization on a base area in Northern Iraq, 6 soldiers were martyred and 7 were wounded. Politicians shared consecutive messages following the tragic event.

VICE PRESIDENT Cevdet Yılmaz:

"I pray for God's mercy upon our heroic soldiers who were martyred in the clash with members of the separatist terrorist organization in the Operation Claw-Lock region, and I wish patience to their families and loved ones.

I also wish for a speedy recovery for our wounded soldiers from the Almighty. May our nation be comforted."

AKP DEPUTY CHAIRMAN AND PARTY SPOKESPERSON OMER CELIK:

"Our pain is immense. May God have mercy on our martyrs. May their place be in heaven. We extend our condolences to the grieving families of our martyrs, our Turkish Armed Forces, and our great nation."
