The fifth meeting of the National Solidarity, Brotherhood and Democracy Commission, established in the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM) as part of the new reconciliation process, has begun. Delivering the opening speech, Parliament Speaker Numan Kurtulmuş reacted to the allegations made by IYI Party's Yüksel Arslan, stating, "We are aware of the existence of those who want to poison the process."
The National Solidarity, Brotherhood and Democracy Commission, established in the TBMM for the new reconciliation process—which the government calls a "Terror-Free Turkey" and which was architected by MHP leader Devlet Bahçeli—continues its work.
The commission met for the fifth time today under the chairmanship of TBMM Speaker Numan Kurtulmuş.

In his opening speech at the meeting, Kurtulmuş reacted sharply to the claim by IYI Party's Yüksel Arslan that "the DEM Party demanded autonomy in the commission."
Stating, "We are aware of the existence of those who want to poison the process," Kurtulmuş said, "Issues that were not discussed in the commission have been provoked. To put it mildly, this is clear provocation. All 51 of our members in the commission are in common determination against these circles."
