Record budget for Diyanet's overseas operations: Hundreds of millions to be spent
It has been learned that the Presidency of Religious Affairs (Diyanet), which surpasses many ministries with its luxury spending and high budget, will allocate 700 million TL for efforts to increase its effectiveness abroad.

Seeking to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of its services abroad, Diyanet has determined its new roadmap.
According to a report by Mustafa Bildircin from BirGün; it was stated that the efforts to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of services abroad will be completed by 2028.
RELIGIOUS EDUCATION FOR 750 THOUSAND PEOPLE IN 3 YEARS
According to the roadmap issued by Diyanet, students will be brought to Turkey from abroad for religious education. In this context, 1,147 students will receive religious education in Turkey in 2024. The number of students to be brought to Turkey from abroad will reach 750 thousand between 2025 and 2028.
The Presidency will develop a comprehensive project for citizens of the Republic of Turkey living abroad. Within the scope of the project, a total of 2 million 100 thousand people will be reached by 2028.
The Presidency, which received a budget of 91.8 billion TL in 2024, will not limit its overseas activities to these. Diyanet will carry out a total of 30 thousand activities for youth and families abroad in 2024.

More than half a billion liras will be spent on the work the Presidency will carry out abroad.
According to the cost calculation issued by the Presidency of Religious Affairs for its overseas targets, a resource of 680 million 508 thousand 256 TL will be needed for overseas activities.
