Record number of electronic shackles to be purchased by the Police! Here is the tender schedule...
İYİ Party Chairman Müsavat Dervişoğlu brought the electronic shackle procurement tender held by the Ministry of Interior's General Directorate of Security Support Services Department on March 28 to the agenda and issued a call to President and AKP Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
The tender schedule dated March 28 for the General Directorate of Security Support Services Department under the Ministry of Interior has been published on the institution's official website. According to the schedule, it was announced that 280 thousand units of "Electronic Monitoring System and Electronic Shackle Service" will be purchased on Monday, April 7, at 11:30. The products subject to the tender and their quantities were also disclosed in the list.

CRITICISM FROM DERVİŞOĞLU
İYİ Party leader Müsavat Dervişoğlu brought the issue to the agenda during his speech at his party's group meeting. Stating, "The General Directorate of Security held a tender last week," Dervişoğlu continued his remarks as follows:
"They are going to hold a tender for the purchase of 280 thousand electronic shackles. Exactly 280 thousand shackles. While you pardon bloodthirsty terrorists and criminals, and calculate pardoning them, you rain down punishments on students, journalists, teachers, intellectuals, children who tweet, uncles, and aunts without discrimination. So, what are you preparing for now, Mr. Erdoğan? Prisons, dungeons, and Silivri were not enough for the Turkish children you call dissidents, so now are you going to imprison us in our own homes?"
