Record pay raise for workers at factory in Kocaeli

Collective bargaining negotiations between Bayer Türk Kimya AŞ, based in Kocaeli, and the Petrol-İş Union Gebze Branch have been concluded favorably for the workers. As a result of the agreement, a significant increase was achieved in the workers' base salaries. While base salaries were increased to an average of 102 thousand TL per month, total income reached 176 thousand TL when social benefits were added.

THE CONTRACT WILL BE VALID FOR 2 YEARS

The collective bargaining agreement signing ceremony was held at the Petrol-İş Union Headquarters. The ceremony was attended by union and company officials, including Petrol-İş Union President Süleyman Akyüz, General Secretary Ahmet Baranlı, Gebze Branch President Şivan Kırmızıçiçek, as well as Bayer Türk Kimya Human Resources Director Osman Demirel and Factory Manager Ali Gürgen.

In his statement at the signing ceremony, Petrol-İş Union Gebze Branch President Şivan Kırmızıçiçek emphasized that the contract is based on worker satisfaction and welfare. Stating that the agreement, which will be valid for two years, has strategic importance for the union, Kırmızıçiçek said, "We have taken an important step for our members to reach the living standards they deserve. We have raised the working conditions and income levels of our fellow workers to a high level."

PARTICIPANTS HAPPY, WORKERS SATISFIED

Bayer Türk Kimya officials also expressed their satisfaction with the contract. Human Resources Director Osman Demirel stated that maintaining industrial peace and ensuring employee satisfaction are among the cornerstones of the company's policies.
