Regulation on salaries of civil servants stationed abroad
The Presidential Decree on Amending the Decision Regarding Monthly Salaries to be Paid to Civil Servants Stationed Abroad for Permanent Duty has been published in the duplicate issue of the Official Gazette.
With the new decision, new principles have been introduced for the calculation method of payments to be transferred without applying a benchmark coefficient.
Accordingly, a total amount will be obtained by multiplying the additional indicator, civil servant base salary, seniority salary, and foreign language compensation indicators by domestic coefficients.
From this calculated amount, all legal deductions will be subtracted, taking into account the salary exemption amounts calculated in accordance with the relevant articles of the Income Tax and Stamp Tax laws.
Following the deductions, the net amount to be paid to the civil servant will be determined.
Country groups and benchmark tables updated
Within the scope of the regulation, revisions were also made to the country groups and benchmark tables used as a basis for determining salaries abroad.
The decision published in the Official Gazette has entered into force, effective from the beginning of the month following its publication.
